Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of children`s invalidity. A great attention is paid to the peculiarities of this phenomenon in the western-European cultural space. The author of the given article analyses attitude of society to children-invalids in different historical periods in the context philosophical understanding of children`s invalidity and shows the determination of this problem by socio-cultural conditions of society’ life during each historical period.
