Summary/Abstract: This article presents and discusses the possibility of theatre and cinema to create virtual reality. The aim of this paper is to find out how these arts try to prove that they present real things and real events. It also tries to find out what methods are used for that presentation and how the feelings and the experiences of the viewer can be messed up. And finally it tries to determine which of these two arts can trick the viewer better and to make him wonder whether the shown things are real or not. However, it is not easy to say what makes the greater influence on the viewer. Every individual understands reality differently, so virtual reality can also be understood differently.
