Summary/Abstract: This study advances for a more comprehensive study the memoirs of the officer, also invested with civil dignity – A. Ya. Storojenko. His travel memoirs – “Two months on the roads of Bessarabia, Moldavia and Wallachia in 1829” offers the most suitable approach for evidence of the symbolic geography of integration of inter-river province in the Russian Empire.
