Summary/Abstract: This article discusses two aspects of eco-philosophy. It analyses ecology as dialogue, which includes the human and his living world. This dialog is possible only if a human is responsible for his living nature – both social and natural. The human lives in the world only through his body, but the body does not restrict him. Only because of the body and embodied consciousness can the human perceive and attend the world. This article proposes that eco-philosophy could be started with the phenomenology of M. Merleau–Ponty. This proposition is based on the ideas of such eco – philosophers as Sally Fischer, Duane H. Davis on our openness to the world and relations of communication and as well upon the ideas of Martin C. Dillon and Hwa Yol Jung on the body as an opportunity to extend perception.
