Summary/Abstract: Ban Count Károly (in Croatian historiography sometimes referred to as Karlo and sometimes in the Croatized form as Dragutin) Khuen-Héderváry was one of the most significant and one of the highest ranking persons in the Croatian-Hungarian history, a statesman who, apart from holding the office of Ban (1883-1903), was president of the Hungarian government twice (from June 27, 1903 to November 3, 1903 and from January 17, 1910 to April 22, 1912).
