Summary/Abstract: This article aims to discuss issues related to plastic creationsto which "the principle of fertile moment" supported by Lessing isapplied. The German aesthetician considers that a sculptor alwayschooses from a number of points possible for "the on-going" of amovement, that unique moment in which the movement has not yetreached its peak deployment and especially for this reason, lets ourimagination run free. The ancient artist sought to give his art beautyand harmony. It was being sought in particular the decrease of slow,non-harmonic movements, of excessive gesture violence, respectively toalleviate the reflection of a suffering body, simultaneously underliningthose aspects of the figure that by compassion, hope and appreciationwould awaken in the viewer states of multifaceted artistic delight.Rendering the moment rich in meanings can be also seen in thetwentieth century art
