Summary/Abstract: The present article affects young people civic engagement issue through informal learning and education. The main civic education characteristics have been defined within the context of informal learning. Different educational approaches have been presented in order to help youngsters participate actively in various civic events. Key competences with fundamental meaning for students as per Bulgarian educational standards have been discussed. These competences also enable students’ better realization in their future lives. An example concerning the informal education has been proposed through the various discussions.
