Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to reveal the philosophical take on the role of music in one’s life showed in Jaume Cabré’s novel “Con-fesses”. The author analyzes the value of music as the metaphysical property of the world and as developing cognitive and sensory abilities of man. Music for the main character can turn out to be the necessary complement of his existence, showing him what is beautiful and what belongs in the world of the value.
