Summary/Abstract: The author considered the history of Grodzka Gate in Lublin – from the very first mention of this building, which dates from the early fourteenth century, to the present day. An extensive historical panorama is supplemented by fragments of guidebooks to Lublin and witness accounts concerning the Gate during the pre-Second World War period. A description of the site’s history also takes into account the activity of the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre situated in the titular building.
