Summary/Abstract: The present judicial system and its institutions, as regulated by federal statutes in conformity with the principles contained in the Federal Constitution of 1963, is being currently studied by a Federal Assembly commission for the revision of federal statutes pertaining to the judicial system. The task of the commission is to draw up and submit to the Federal Assembly, on the basis of the Federal Assembly Resolution on the Fundamentals of Federal Legislative Policy and the constitutional amendments adopted in 1968, proposals for the enactment of new legislation, under which the Federation would in this sphere regulate only basic questions concerning and ensuring the unity of the social and political system, while other essential matters would be regulated by the constituent republics and/or autonomous provinces.
