Summary/Abstract: Many scientific articles have been published devoted to Mečislovas Reinys’ (1884–1853) miscellaneous activities, including academic work. However, his contribution to Lithuanian psychology has not yet been fully assessed. The article analyzes M. Reinys’ “Psychology of Propaganda” (1938) – its content, novelty and relevance in terms of development of Lithuanian psychology. The article concludes that “Psychology of Propaganda” is one of the first applied publications attributable to social psychology in Lithuania. Its attitudes and social influence reflect the most popular trends of social psychology in the 1930s. Reinys refers to the most recent and most influential scientific publications of social psychology; some of these publications did not lose their credibility until now.
