Summary/Abstract: The specific adaptive nature of genre brings along the possibilities for transformations, but a key factor for the processes of transformations is media environment, where journalistic information is produced and shaped in different genres. A specific model of transferring information from the traditional media through the digital media to the users is presented in this article as well as the role of genres in this process. It is proposed also typology of the transformations of the journalistic genres in Internet.
