Summary/Abstract: At its Sixth Congress held in Ohrid from October 15—17, 1969, the Federation of Associations of Ex-Servicemen of the Yugoslav National Liberation War (Savez udruženja boraca narodnooslobodilačkog rata Jugoslavije — SUBNORJ), adopted new by-laws which, in addition to introducing some changes in the Federation’s organizational structure, specify with more precision its sociopolitical role, objectives and long-term tasks. Unlike the earlier ones, the new by-laws only lay down the basic objectives, tasks and principles of the Federation, leaving it to ex-service organizations at republican, provincial and commune level to regulate all other questions with their own by-laws. The new by-laws call for the strengthening of democratic relationships within the organization as a whole, and for joint efforts further to develop socialist and democratic relationships based on self-management.
