Summary/Abstract: The entire territory of Yugoslavia is a unified PTT area, regardless of the territorial-political division into socio-political communities.1 2 This has been the principal guideline in the development, organization and construction of the PTT network in Yugoslavia, and it is upon this principle that the General Long-Term Plan for the construction of the PTT facilities in Yugoslavia, which was adopted in 1964 by the Assembly of the Yugoslav PTT Community, is based. The Plan lays down the general conceptions of policy and global directives for the construction of the PTT network and the organization of PTT services, with a view to ensuring optimal functioning of inland and international PTT traffic with the most up-to-date telecommunication equipment and systems.
