Literary Studies of/in the Future: Going beyond Our Comfort Zone

Summary/Abstract: In this article, Musiał examines the condition of contemporary literary studies. The first part he discusses the growing influence of experts and the effect this has on research profiles in the field. The second part focuses on the state of literary research in Poland in the context of literary theory, life writing studies, the popularisation of literary studies, the didactics of literature, world literature, the so-called reading of moods, as well as what is known as the psychology of narrative.
