Folk choreographic art of Ukraine in the modern socio-cultural conditions

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The purpose of the article is to analyse the importance of the Ukrainian choreographic art in the formation of the cultural and national values of the Ukrainians. The author also tries to research the tendencies of the Ukrainian choreographic art development in the modern socio-cultural space. Methodology. The methodology of the article includes historical, analytical methods that allow the author to study the modern state of the Ukrainian choreography in details and to characterize conditions of the development in the socio-cultural processes. Scientific Novelty. The folk choreography of Ukraine has saved the heritage of the traditional culture. It is an effective instrument of the development of the national cultural-art traditions in the national creative processes at the present stage of Ukrainian society. In addition, the folk choreography is an important factor of the national-cultural identity and key element of saving and transmission of the national cultural values. Conclusions. There are many approaches to analysing of the issues, concerned Ukrainian folk choreography in the Ukrainian scientific space. Many scientists research Ukrainian dance art as a cultural phenomenon and study its elements, peculiarities and regional features. However, there is a lack of the researches, devoted to the role of the Ukrainian folk choreography in the modern society.
