Summary/Abstract: The Fifth Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia was held in Belgrade on May, 18, when Josip Broz Tito, Secretary General of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, submitted a report on “The Attitude of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia to Current International Problems and the Tasks of the International Labor Movement in the Struggle for Peace and Socialism”. The Secretary General stated the views of the League of Communists on current international problems, and developments in the international labor movement. In the light of the analysis made of the present situation and of tendencies manifested in contemporary international relations, the Secretary General devoted particular attention to the priority tasks of the progressive forces in the struggle waged by all peoples of the world for peace and the development of friendly, international co-operation. Josip Broz Tito also dealt with problems of socialist development, particularly those bearing on the present situation and on discussions in the countries which are developing socialism and on the communist and labor movements, and stressed that a frank and principled statement of attitude by the Yugoslav League of Communists on these matters would make it easier for the international labor movement in the world in general to gain a better and more correct understanding of the views advocated by the Yugoslav League of Communists.
