Summary/Abstract: The III session of the Federal People’s Assembly was dissolved by an Assembly Writ of December 23,1957, after the expiration of its four-year mandate. Elections for the IV session of the Federal People’s Assembly were held in 1958, viz. for the Federal Council on March 23, and for the Council of Producers on March 23. Altogehter 317 deputies were elected to the Federal Council (including 70 deputies elected to the Council of Nationalities), and 216 to the Council of Producers.
