Summary/Abstract: Interactive web content is used more and more in education and culture because it can easily attract people’s attention. Due to available free technology, its usage has become much more accessible. Games and interactive maps made for the Croatian Archival Society are a good example because they were made using free programming codes and web tools available on the Internet. Archives as well as educational, cultural, and other institutions (schools, libraries, and even banks), because of the evolution of computer technology which allows a more advanced way for displaying information, should find a way to display their activities and materials in an attractive way. Content such as computer maps, timelines, virtual walks, holograms, games, and other interactive media can stimulate more emotions and creatively present their subject in a more impressive way than a picture. That is why in the future more interactive multimedia content should be made and used asa replacement for classic promotion materials such as drawings, pictures, booklets, and posters, which require money and time for printing and distributing. Most of these materials printed on paper soon become unused and forgotten. On the other hand, internet contents are made once and distributed to manly people through one web site. The web content can also be easily preserved due to modern web hosts which use cloud computing that hosts web sites on many different web servers.
