Summary/Abstract: This article explores the influence of Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov on Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophy. While many scholars have discussed how this novel influenced the philosopher’s ethics, Dehnel suggests that it also had an important impact on Wittgenstein’s concept of the subject as the limit of the world – a concept expounded in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus.
