Summary/Abstract: Purpose – This article aims to analyze the relationship between the growth of companies listed onNewConnect selected factors, which included liquidity, asset size, growth potential and innovation.Design/methodology/approach – The study was conducted on the data of annual non-financial companieslisted on NewConnect in the years 2007–2014. In order to verify the hypothesis of an analysis of the correlationof asset growth, equity, sales and earnings per share and cash flow in the subgroups characterized by lowand high levels of innovation and growth potential, as well as the study was conducted regression horizontalmodels in which the explanatory variables growth of enterprises are listed for the factors.Findings – The studies found that growth factors affect differently the increase in individual groups and thatthe smaller and less innovative company the greater the profit growth with the support of the conservativepolicy of liquidity.Originality/value – The survey of companies listed on NewConnect is particularly important in the contextof the functioning of small and medium-sized business entities, which were included in the new situation ofbeing able to raise capital on the stock exchange, which is associated with their continuous assessment byinvestors. Additionally, we carried out an analysis of the growth of enterprises and certain factors that maydetermine this growth. Individualistic and deterministic approach to modelling the growth of small andmedium-sized enterprises in the capital market can have a positive impact on investment decisions.
