Summary/Abstract: The article of the colonel Ibrahim Nurkić, the first commander of the Municipal Headquarter of the Territorial Defense of Gracanica and the wartime chief of the Headquarter of the Operative Group 2, we bring from the publication: Omer Hamzic and Mirza Hamzic, Defense of Gracanica 25th May 1992, Gračanica: Monos, 1996, 123-130, regarding that it has been almost two decades since its issuance, and that it has already been hardly accessible to a wider circle of readers. We wanted in this edition, dedicated to the 25th May 1992 and the battle for the defense of Gracanica, also to offer a view from the perspective of the then central command of the defense forces on the territory of Gracanica. The article is brought out in its original form, by correcting only a few minor, obviously printing errors.
