Summary/Abstract: The rights of the Nigerian child are set out in the Child’s Rights Act, 2003. The Act made specific provisions for the rights of the disabled child. This paper critically examines the relevance of these provisions in the light of other legislations in Nigeria. It finds that the provisions are a surplusage and counter-productive; they should therefore, be deleted.
