Summary/Abstract: The author writes about First Muslim Elementary School in Bugojno, in Central Bosnia. The founding of this school is noted down in vakufnama (endowment document) of Ahmed-aga (Husein) from 1739. The vakufnama contains facts about his property he left behind, so called vakuf, in his hometown Bugojno. Ahmed-aga was high civil servant of emperor’s court in Istanbul. As it is evident from vakufnama he was rich and very religious man. He founded this elementary school in Bugojno, appointed employees and other necessary services of the school, all precisely noted down in vakufnama.
