Summary/Abstract: The seventeenth century owners of Kėdainiai town were the Calvinist Radziwiłł family. The town itself was multinational, multicultural and multiconfessional. In this situation the Catholic Church operated under difficult circumstances. In this paper we present two church inventories of the seventeenth century pastors of Kėdainian Holy Trinity and Saint George parish church. These inventories reveal information regarding the altars in the church and allow us to understand the direction of the piety, and to reveal the most venerated saints in the parish. 44 books registered in both inventories of the parish allow us to reveal the books read by the parish pastors and to understand what knowledge was conveyed to the parishioners. We came to the conclusion that these two pastors did their most for the advancement of the parish: Motiejus Kobilinskas initiated of the reclamation of the church from the evangelicals and Motiejus Godlevskisthe founded of the Holy Rosary brotherhood.
