The First Anthology of Banat Bulgarian Literature

Summary/Abstract: The history of Banat Bulgarian literature is quite attractive. It began in the middle of the 19th century with religious literature. Fully isolated from the common Bulgarian culture, it goes on its own way satisfying the cultural needs of the Banat Bulgarians. Written in Lat-in, for a long time, this literature was not taken into consideration in the Bulgarian gen-eral literature and became part of it only at the end of the 20th century.In this paper I am analyzing the apparition of the first Anthology of the Bulgarian Banat literature and its importance. This first volume of Anthology of Banat Bulgarian Literature proved that Banat Bulgarians have a literature that it is not a primitive one, but rather mature. And also it becomes obvious that if someone wants to write in Banat Bul-garian language, he/she can do it without any problems. It's enough to have inspiration and talent.
