Summary/Abstract: The article describes psalms, a new poetic project of Julia Fiedorczuk. On one hand the genre used by the author stresses the connection with the tradition through melodiousness and rhythmicality, parallel composition, focus on universal issues; and on the other hand it becomes an act of subversion, it goes beyond the thematic framework to the women’s and ecological issues, becomes secularised, subtly alludes to the religious tradition; finally, it gives up the psalmic topicality in favour of ironic intermediation of reality.
