Summary/Abstract: European Union adopted a new Regulation on Succession in 2012 whereas all of its provisions have been in force since August 17th, 2015.This regulation is also called the Rome IV Regulation. In addition to considering jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of authentic instruments in matters of succession, Regulation No 650/2012 also takes into account the creation of a European certificate of succession. Some of the provisions of the Regulation will have possible impacts on Turkish Private International Law. So in this paper we will examine these impacts in three main groups.
