Summary/Abstract: Seed Capital market in Poland is still developing. Pomeranus Seed Fund and its experiencesis an example demonstrating that there is a constant need to educate and mobilize ofpeople, public bodies and companies to develop on the basis of innovation. It is essential tobreak barriers, which suppress innovative ventures, especially when different support schemesand financing sources are available.New EU programs will certainly increase possibilities for financing of innovative venturesby seed capital funds. Taking advantage of new opportunities, seed capital funds canbecome one of the major links activating capability of innovation creation of people andenterprises.
