Summary/Abstract: Small and medium-sized enterprises play a key role over the years in the economies ofindividual countries and regions. This also applies to Poland, so the aim of this paper is toshow the most important factors of the prosperity the enterprises in this sector. Due to thecomplexity and scope of this problem, the article does not pretend to developa comprehensive and complete. The author focused on the identification of the three selectedfactors from different spheres of business and its determinants and to show the mechanisminfluence of these factors on business in the SME sector. Featured factors include entrepreneurship,institutional conditions of business, and effective pricing.
