Summary/Abstract: The paper will analyze the business environment and conditions for doing business in Serbia and other Western Balkan economies. It will be done both through the analysis of macroeconomic milieu and also through the analysis of barriers and other indicators of business environment of these economies. It will be shown that there are similarities in a number of observed indicators, but also the differences in most of them. The environment varies among observed Western Balkan countries. There are similarities in macroeconomic variables as well as well-marked differences in the level of barriers for doing business and indicators of business climate.
