Assessment of the Financial Situation of Enterprises of the Service Sections – the Selected Changes

Summary/Abstract: An aim of this article was to assess the selected areas of financial situation of the enterprises from the service sections; therefore, the article is of the typically research nature. In her article, the author used results of analyses of the financial situation of enterprises in 2009-2012 where there could be observed quite clearly the phenomenon of economic slowdown. Those analyses were based on the assessment of formation of incomes, costs, financial performance and turnover profitability. The carried out assessment showed deterioration of the financial situation of enterprises of the majority of service sections in 2012 vis-à-vis 2009-2010, what was also a prediction of unfavourable trends observed in the first half of 2013. There increased the rate of growth of total revenues achieved by enterprises, though in many sections of service enterprises the rate of growth of costs was higher than that of revenues. Thus there declined gross and net profits. There also deteriorated turnover profitability of many service enterprises. Also on that account one may formulate a conclusion that the financial situation of service enterprises underwent dynamic changes so as dynamic are the market conditions under which they operate.
