Summary/Abstract: The article shows relations between business support organizations and sources,barriers and effects of innovation activity in small innovative companies in industry inLower Silesia Province. Probit model was used to get information which helps in the creationof business support services for small innovative companies. The most importantconclusions are:A most homogenous companies, in terms of source of innovation activity, are thecompanies which cooperate with centers of technology transfer, academic business incubatorsand loan funds.In terms of innovation activity barriers it is difficult to determine a profile of companiesin the region. There was lack of estimate models.Technology parks are the greatest contributor in effects of innovation activity
