Summary/Abstract: This essay deals with the city Karasubazar in the 17th century, according to Crimean court records. The city was administered by a kadi of the Crimean Khanate, which was then itself under the Otoman Empire. This essay on the social life in Karasubazar focuses upon especially how different religious and ethnic groups used to live together, as well as some data illuminating daily life of that time.
