Summary/Abstract: Struggle of influence between Romania and hungary over Transilvania before and after 1989, when Communism declined in Romania, influenced nationalist policies of these two countries. Hungarian minority in Transilvania started to demand regional authonomy, especially after Romania entered the EU in 2007. This struggle of influence is indeed outcome of historical claims with deep roots. This essay examines the Question of Transilvania and Hungarian minority there, which are still determinatice in Hungaro-Rumenian relations.
