Electronic Catalogues in Public Procurement

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present the problem of electronic catalogues inpublic procurement. The regulation concerning public procurement and electronic cataloguesthat based on European Union Procurement Directive is described as well as theusage of catalogues in member states. The functionality of Polish newly opened ElectronicPlatform of Product Catalogues – eCatalogues is presented and the opportunitiesthat it can offer national, regional and local authorities and suppliers or service providersto maintain best purchasing practice are discussed.
