Summary/Abstract: Malatya is a city that has been continuously occupied from earliest prehistoric time to nowadays. The Palaeolithic and the Mesolithic ages people, even if they had not yet settled down, had some areas which they spend winter and summer. Malatya has been one of the regions that attracted the interest of the people of the prehistoric age due to climate conditions, natural geographical structure and the appropriateness of the food variety. Malatya, which is also a center of attraction for people who have settled together with the Neolithic Age and cultivated agriculture, owe it to the fertilel and wide lands. What did people who lived in and around Malatya from the Palaeolithic Age to the Early Bronze Age could prefer to eat? In this article which is searched for the answer of this question, surface surveys and archaeological excavation reports made in and around Malatya were used as a source.
