Innovativeness of Implementations of Management Information Systems

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the issues of innovativeness of management information systemsand innovativeness of their implementations. The special emphasis has been put tothe organizational innovation, but the product and process innovations are also considered.The question about the innovativeness of standard solutions implementations hasbeen discussed. For this purpose the main and supporting business processes has beendistinguished, which are the drivers of competitive advantage. Also the different levelsof innovativeness has been distinguished, i.e. organization and branch of economy. Theresults of research on innovativeness of standard software packages have been presented.
