Summary/Abstract: The contemporary economy is characterized by the growing competitiveness in the market for goods and services, the decreasing life cycle of many products as well as the intensity of market changes. Firms, trying to outpace competitors, provide their products/services with a set of unique features, offering the latest technological and functional solutions. The recent years brought a rapid development of the ecommerce branch as well as growth of consumers’ awareness and knowledge of this topic. Hence, also the demands concerning this area become greater and greater. The consumers’ changing purchasing habits lead to significant market transformations. Awareness of the needs and abilities of the contemporary consumer, access to information and contents obtainment have achieved the hitherto unknown level. In this context, it is worthwhile to consider how the constantly altering behaviours of contemporary consumers affect the ever growing market for e-commerce.
