The Evaluation of Technical Efficiency of Public District Hospital

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to determine the essence of the efficiency of a health care entity andthe significance of quantitative methods used in its evaluation on the example of the PublicDistrict Hospital. It is pointed to the nature of the evaluation of the said entity, whose task isto ensure patients’ safety by keeping services at a high level while maintaining the principlesof rational and efficient use of resources. The source data used for computing efficiency ratioswere obtained from medical statistics of the examined Hospital. The results of the analysisconfirm that the studied entity produced similar results to the average in a given sector.
