Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on the spellings, types and characteristics of emphatic (partial)reduplication words such as ‘very straight’ (dümdüz), ‘very green’ (yemyeşil) ‘dead ripe’ (opolgun),‘pitch black’ (simsiyah), ‘entirely’ (büsbütün) and ‘hard as a rock’ (kaskatı) in Turkish.
