Summary/Abstract: Contemporary behaviours of consumers in the market are to a large extent shaped under the influence of the process of globalisation and integration, with which there takes place the process of shift to the knowledge- and informationbased economy. Significant changes in information technology and telecommunication, development of new information and communication technologies have enabled and realised the existence of ‘global village’. The contemporary consumers making use of technological innovations, described as the new era consumer, permanently change their behaviours and preferences and even identity. An aim of considerations is to indicate up-to-date forms of interpersonal and intragroup communication as a result of the transformations observed in the Internet market and to show their influence on the change of contemporary consumers’ behaviours. The grounds for considerations made in the article are a review of the available literature as well as author’s own experience and observations.
