Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analysis legends about Puta Svihovsky from Ryzmberk, very popular story in western Bohemia and shows an image of this personality in the Czech historical consciousness. The leading nobleman of Jagiellonian period (died 1504) is still a well-known reputation as an story character than as a historical personality. Historical Puta was the highest provincial referee. He also became famous as a convinced Catholic, an opponent of the Czech Brethren and the builder. The story about his end relates to the two castles, Rabi and Svihov, (according to tradition, he was taken by the devil) and his posthumous punishment. The author analyzes the reputation of wander, their methods of distribution and processing in recent collections of selected tales. She examines also presenting examples of modern historical legends by the Internet.
