Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the ethical aspects of oral history methods in teaching at school. The author based on his experience and knowledge of the team of colleagues from the Center for Oral History, Department of History, University of the West Bohemia points out some of the difficulties of implementing teaching methods. The experience is mainly linked to the teaching of modern history, the history of socialism in the former Czechoslovakia and the history of World War II. The author also gives some tips on how to manage ethical controversies in the use of oral history in the schools face practice.
