Summary/Abstract: The text explains the reasons for the need of understanding the social character of the art of music, and especially opera, using analytical phenomenology of a work of art/music. Musical phenomena constitute one kind of experience in which conscience looks for an object created by sound and its relations with network of sounds. Opera introduces socially constituted deontic values, social norms and their dramatic degradation using plot, character and their interaction through music or musical drama into that fluid context of sounds, tones, and movements and confronts them in the perception of recipients of musical/dramatic messages with their own values, and thus, reconstructs those values in a drastic way in reception or realization or experience of truth, based on a single example of individual or collective fate.
