Summary/Abstract: The hypothesis that there is a link between political relations and credits to be tested in the case of Soviet Union-Russia-Turkey. The objective of the case study is to find the direction of political relations (positive+, neutral±, negative-) in the years that Soviet Union opened or not credits to Turkey and the direction of political relations in the years that Turkey opened credits to Soviet Union and Russian Federation. Datas derived from General Directorate of State Archives of the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey and others sources. Findings of the study completely corrected the hypothessis for USSR-Turkey relations while partly corrected for RF-Turkey relations. Findings showed that starting, improvement and break down of credit relations is interconnected to political relations.
