Summary/Abstract: This study deals with the historical post-war development in the Cheb region in the years 1945 - 1947. It is focused on detailed description of expulsion of large group of the German population from Cheb and the surrounding area. The work has used biographical method and method of classical oral history. Through the testimony of witnesses a new point of view has been obtained on this issue. This point of view focuses primarily on the status and behavior of individuals in this historic event.
