Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on Todor Dinov’s contribution to the establishing of Bulgarian animated film. Major aspects of his work are under consideration such as the introduction of professional standards to animated film and innovative at the time models, of modern representational plasticity, ranging widely from the graphicalness of The Daisy to the impressionistic freedom of The Rain of Paris. The analysis compares these works made decades ago with a number of contemporary Bulgarian movies to trace the effect produced until now by the oeuvre of the remarkable Bulgarian animator on the present film processes in animation. 7
