Summary/Abstract: This paper seeks to fill a gap in the current literature by examining the role of Christology in relation to human rights, the development of a human rights culture, the religious dimension of human rights, the future of humanity under God, and the establishment of a human rights culture. I seek to contribute to a wider understanding of contextual and cultural influences on the role of religion in shaping the meaning of the human, the constructive relationship between religion and secular human rights, the relationship of Christology to human rights, the involvement of God with human bodies, and the causal role played by religious beliefs.
