Summary/Abstract: The paper Ethnopedagogy and education to different cultures in the Slovak republic deals with establishment and development of specific features of individual Slovak regions which are the results of several factors. It points out the importance of application of regional contents in the process of educating children at the beginning of their school attendance. The author also highlights the importance of building up the relationship with the local culture as the first degree in the process of building up the relationship with the national and European cultures.
